Hey everyone. When I was running Windows 7 on my machine, I never had any real issues with wireless. But ever since the install of WIndows 8 Ive had nothing but problems, and its consistent.

If I reboot the machine, wake it from sleep or start from a cold boot the wireless will not work. It wont even show up under networking. I have to go to device manager and disable then re-enable the card. Then it connects fine without any interaction from me.

Ive reinstalled Windows 8 from scratch after constant uninstalls and reinstalls of the drivers didn't work. Even tried the older Windows 7 drivers, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. At this stage its starting to get pretty annoying.

Any ideas? Its whatever the base wireless is that came with these. I didn't choose a wireless upgrade, so Im assuming its the Realtek one.

On another note, if I try to use Driver Sweeper it doesnt even know anything for wireless in there. The only realtek options are for ethernet and sound.

I am also using the base wireless on mine and have no problems with wifi. Mine came with separate windows 8 and windows 7 drivers discs. Do you have a windows 8 drivers disc, if not have you tried the latest sager drivers on their website.

Yes, as previously stated I have tried using both win 7 and win 8 drivers. They all came from Sager's website.

Also, as previously stated, I have the card that came with the base configuration. The integrated Realtek card.

Sorry, must have glanced by that.

Would you be willing to try installing Windows 7 and see if it works ok there? It would rule out hardware issue. Other than what you have already done I have no other ideas :S

You could try running the wireless card's driver installer in compatibility mode for Windows 7, though compatibility shouldn't really be an issue. Can you verify which vendor your card came from? Typically it's either Realtek, Azurewave, or Aetheros, I believe.
