I noticed that Clevo put up new nVidia drivers for the 9260 for Vista 64-bit (as of Aug 31st).

Has anyone tried these to verify if SLI now works?

Hmm wasn t impressed, tried bioshock and it stutters like a one legged prostitute ;p Problem is maybe with the game so il l have to do some more testing. Also riva tuner doesn t support the new drivers and fraps doesn t showm under them... trying some beta drivers for bioshock http://www.nvidia.com/content/Drive....44_forceware_winvista_64bit_english_beta.exe

update nevermind those drivers are not compatible, anyone tried some drivers that actually work well with bioshock, bioshock seems to stutter from time to time this seems more driver related...

OK tested some more, playing now bioshock at 1600x1024 with all on full. Working perfect with new drivers, issues had to do with one of the optios, gloal lighting, putting it at on got rid of stuttering.

    Thanks for the info student.

What's your 3DMark06 score with the new drivers? I'd like to see if you're getting SLI or not. I'm assuming you have two 7950's in your 9260 :).

Can someone with TWO 7950's test out the new driver and let us know if SLI is now working in Vista? :)

I did. It worked fine with Oblivion though there was a game exit crash. That may be attributable to Oblivion, which was unpatched. Bioshock crashed to windows twice within 5 minutes of start. :( I rolled back the driver and played with no prob on one card. It was running at 30 fps accoring to RivaTuner with spikes as high as 60 and as low as 10. I didn't notice any choppyness or lags so I think the low spikes were during menus or loading.

I'm a novice as far as playing with the drivers and tweaking, so I didn't want to deal with the problems. I may play around with it sometime in the future, but will probably wait for the more tech proficient among us to comments.

I think you'll have to do a 3DMark06 to verify SLI.

No SLI should yield 5500 (give or take with no OC)
With SLI should yield 6800+ (give or take)

So SLI should be obvious if it's working. This is for 64-bit Vista users with 2x 7950GTs.

Here's a link showing mobile GPU performance comparison:

    http://www.notebookcheck.net/Mobile...rk-List.844.0.html?&or=&search=&sort=3dmark06

This is not Sager specific in the slightest and the 9260 numbers I've seen tend to be higher.

I'm pulling the trigger today on my 9260 and I'm really curious if Vista is working w/SLI yet. I guess I can test soon myself :).

I did. Pre SLI driver it was 5500 or 5600. Post it was 7700 and change.

Sounds like we can officially state that SLI works with Vista :D !!.

Xotic also removed the "Not Supported with Vista" warning from the SLI 7950 option in the configuration page as well. Sager website is still showing the warning though.

Any D900C/D901C can use these drivers (regardless of reseller/vendor)

Bioshock crashes like a pimp on crack... even with newer drivers. been hearing lots of reports of really bad stability. Was able to run the game very well at 1900x1200 rez widescreen but after about 5-10 min crash...crash crash and thats even at lower rez. So nope at this point dont think its drivers just bad code... using vista 64, but others with xp or vista 32 have the same problem so i doubt its a 64 bit issue... oh and using 4 gigs so nope not a memory issue either ;)

Bioshock just needs to get some updates period. Right now it is simply worthless. They better update their demo too.

Still, it isn't the only game I'm having trouble with. Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines crashes my system pretty hard too, even after restricting it to one core. It does so less often though.

(And no, I am not using a 9260 w/ SLI.)

I'm running a 9260 w/ a single 7950. Playing Bioshock for more than 5 minutes would give me a BSOD pointing to nv4_disp. I found that turning off vert sync and high pixel shaders in the game's options alllows me to play for hours w/ no issues. Drivers in use are FW 158.22 from NGO.

I run a 9260 and when I play using a single card on the stock drivers I play with setting maxed and no crashes. I've clocked a couple of hours on the game.

It would crash very quickly when I installed the SLI drivers from the Clevo site.
