I can be patient in purchasing max'd out 9260 until mid-Dec. I would appreciate you predictions as to what new technology "might likely" be available in the 9260 by mid-Dec?

If you care to expand your forecasts to include the 5790, then I would appreciate those also.

In both situations, I plan on going max cpu, gpu, ram, etc.

i was in the same situation as you, but i pulled the trigger a bit sooner...but i dont regret it at all.

in computers, their is something always on the horizon worth waiting for...however, you will always end up waiting and not getting anything..because when you finally do buy something, it is replaced by something faster/better for the same price or lower.

it is just the way of computers, and i doubt it will ever change.

so when your waiting for quad core at 2.6ghz, their will be a 3.0ghz quad core coming. that geforce 8700GTX SLI your waiting for will be replaced by the 9600GTX SLI, etc...
