    ANy news on drivers?

I am using the .04 driver.... Should I update to a beta?? Is there a beta??

Honestly do people really think the 8800 is not going to have driver issues???

use the one supplied by your vendor. the hassles are not worth the 200 points you might get in 3dmark score.

I use 169.09. They work great with crysis, cod4, nwn2, and gears of war atleast. Overclocking is possible with these drivers aswell just make sure to clean up all driver files so you have a clean install.

I use 169.04 and have been "testing" my system with 169.09 for a few days and both work well for me. I have not had any issue with either. 169.12 is out but I haven't played with it yet. There was no real difference between 169.04 and 169.09. So would stick with one of these for now.

If you are 169.04 and not having problems I would stay with it. They one the reference is really old.

I figured that.. I use 169.04.... and wanted to play a little bit...

The only problem I do have is if I turn sli off, the system tends to go a little crazy....

I didn't realize you couldn't run an external monitor on an SLI system and extend the desktop....

I really didn't spend much time on it... So if there is a way... I probably overlooked it... Any suggestions???

I think that is still a problem. If I chance later I look the release notes again. I haven't had a chance to look at 169.12 yet there is a chance it was corrected there.

169.04's should do fairly well, I don't think there was much change from .04 to .09 honestly. I don't know about .12. I haven't heard of anyone using them to post #'s.

.04 to .09 there was no major change at first I thought my FPS had dropped on .09. But I realized I had not rebooted performance wise they are the same for me. The .12 has been out for a week or so now but I haven't even bother to download them yet. The driver changes are coming way to fast now but they are are starting to fix the things that vista broke finally.
