What version of Vista are you running? Have you updated with the latest patches? Have you run reg cleaning programs, etc?

Vista Ultimate x64 updated to the last patches. I stayed away from reg cleaning programs.

Memtest86+ v1.70 has been running fine for about 5 hours. It passed 7 times. I will just let it run a little longer but there seem s to be no memory problem.

so its more than liekly software....

any new software or updates that you installed recently?

    that could be the culprit.

... as well as look at the background services and programs (use HiJackThis)

Nah, memory is ok. Both BlueScreens happened when I was using Internet Explorer, x64 version.

Look at any new programs or updates installed. It would be my first guess, maybe an Add On or something of that nature if it is happing with IE. Also try the 32 bit version for a while to see if it happens there. As nice as IE is it has some bugs and incompatibilities with some things more so with the 64bit version.

Of course they would because until then they can't be sure it is not causing the problem. It is always good to start with things that are known to work.
