I know this question has been asked, but I can't seem to bring up good search results.

I have a swiss gear PEGASUS backpack, and my XR5 doesn't quite fit. It does fit in the large back pocket, but not in the sleeve/slot for the notebook. I could really force it in there, but I don't want to, mostly I think it might dislodge the rubber feet.

Anyway, if I could find a huges sleeve for this beast, then I could just use the whole back compartment in my backpack.

Any suggestions? How about the Targus XL? I just need something big enough for the 9262, and a fair amount of accessories, but still carry on for a plane.

    I use the Targus XL

    It fits everything nicely.

I can fit the 9262, power supply, and a lot of other accessories.

I have carried it onto a plane once so far, no problems, it fits in overhead storage even when packed.

The other one I was thinking about was one of the XL size Booq Bags but those are substantially more expensive.

The one I was looking at was the Boa XL, however, I think it is discontinued now... but it looked awesome... but $200 compared to Targus at less than half the price.

I'm happy with the targus so far.

Targus XL used here for about 6 months. Very good backpack for the D901C.

Booq. BOA. XL. Fantastic. Pricey. But fantastic.

They just released a BOA slimline that's itching my wallet badly right now. The BOA is sometimes a tag big.

HEY! Looks like they released the 3rd version. A bit less classy (it's sportier), but still nice!

I'm wondering if I can cram a Zalman NC2000 cooler into this bag as well.

    Dimensions listed are (in mm): 318 x 400 x 42.5

Also, anyone ever had any issues using this backpack as a carryon on an airplane? The listed dimensions for it look a little iffy, but since its a soft backpack I'm guessing I can squish it into the compartment.

I don't know exactly how much bigger the NC2000 is vs the NC1000 but I fit my NC1000 in there no problem.

In my recent trip to Vegas, i had my 9262, power brick, NC1000, some headphones, mouse, some miscellaneous stuff all packed in there and carried it onto the plane.

I fit it in the overhead storage no problem ( since my battery did not last quite long enough to do anything worthwhile for my 5 hour flight ) haha.

No airline personnel questioned the size of the bag or anything.

It does not hit the seats as I walk down the aisle. It was however, very heavy, and started getting uncomfortable, and i felt really good to be able to set it down in the hotel haha.

It looks like the NC2000 is only going to be about half an inch longer and 2-3 inches wider, plus the feet on it do fold inside, so there's a chance it will fit in this bag. Thanks for that account of your plane trip too Aryantes.

Wow that's nice... I didn't notice any list anywhere. I had to create an account for checkout, so I left the page. How much for delivery here ?

grabbed the mobile edge secure pack for my laptop, and basically, it won't hold much more than the laptop itself, and the power adapter. It does have hip straps, and is very well built, but I had to strip out the 2 mesh bags, and the "paperwork organizer" in order to fit my laptop. my accessories are actually going into the sleeve where the laptop is supposed to go, because the laptop won't fit in there. very sturdy bag, wishing it was bigger. I have a lot of accessories that I sure would like to take with me on my trip next week.

Unfortunately I generally use an old school style brief case type bag. I just think it looks unproffessional to my clients to walk in to their offices with a back pack on ;).

I may get one with rollers than I can plop down as soon as I'm out of line of sight though ;).

I Just got my NP9262. I bought a targus XL. I didn't like how the laptop fits in the backpack and it was a bit heavy on the shoulders after awhile. I don't often over grass dirt or gravel as i travel by airline alot. I took this backpack back and got this http://www.amazon.com/PATRIOT-Wenger-Rolling-Computer-Removable/dp/B0002LCV4U This thing rocks. Smooth and sturdy. The pull out handle comes up high enough that i don't feel like i have to bend down to reach it or have it hit my feet because its to close to me. This bag is designed for a 17 inch and the NP9262 FITS PERFECTLY. it also comes with a seperate hand carry bag for 15" laptops. Check out all the pockets and space. I fit my Zalman cooler, lots of accessories CD packs game contoller, power adapter, Magazines, books and a change of clothes and go everywhere with this thing. Laptop weight is a non-issue with a bag like this. I paid to much at bestbuy but its where i bought the Targus XL from so was easier to exchange. So shop around.

    Sager NP9262 Specs-
    - 17" WUXGA LCD (1920 x 1200)
    - Q6600 / 8MB L2 Cache, 2.40GHz, 1066MHz FSB

Yes, I did see that one. I needed a backpack though. First choice was Targus XL, but it was OOS. So I did some reasearch, and asked some questions here on the forums, and someone said that they had a 9262 with this bag. I think I'm going to PM him and see how he's configuring the internals of the bag for this laptop...because I am confused how he can fit anything else in there.

I already had a Booq Boa XL from my last laptop. I was very happy to find that the 9262 fits (nice and snug).
I've been very happy with Booq too. I had a zipper seam tear off my Boa after over a year of use and they replaced it for free (I paid shipping to them) with a newer version of the same model.

Yeah thats part of the reason i didn't like the Targus XL is that it didn't fit alot of stuff very well. But Most people here that use it and have need of a backpack only seem to really like it. Buy it from a place you can return to easy to try it out like bestbuy. If you don't like it return it. If you do return it and buy it from the cheapest place.

I am looking at a few North Face packs (surge 2007 , 2008 , box shot , hot shot). Does anyone have any experience with these bags. I travel and will be carrying everything I need in this backpack. The laptop dimensions they fit are close or a little under the 9262 dimensions. However, several bags listed in this thread are under those dimensions and seem to work fine.

After much searching I bought the Alienware deluxe reviewed in this forum and it can hold the mouse,NC 2000,mouse pad and adapter with no problems.
