I have a 6 month old 9262. Vista 64 and two 8800s in SLI mode. Recently I went to update my video drivers ('bout that time again), and downloaded 185.20 off laptopvideo2go. When through setup, and I got a bluescreen/crash. Also downloaded them off the nvida site (179.28) to try that, and same thing.

Any ideas on what's wrong, whether any hardware is damaged, and/or how to correct the issue?

    Thanks guys.

trying doing a manual install. using the second card first, then update the main card second.

meaning when you look at your display driver under device manager, it will list two. the one with the higher bus number try installing first. it will say something about reboot but dont. then do the same for the other card. then reboot....try this.

Thanks for the suggestion. Since nvidia only gives me the setup executable, I gave it a shot with the "have disk method" from laptopvideo2go (which I have used before on the same laptop). For some reason, even with the modded inf, windows still determines the best driver is already installed. I don't know if this is my error, or related to the issue. But it's a pretty easy task, so I'm fairly certain the error isn't mine.

Tried it with 181.20 and 185.20.

Try uninstalling the existing drivers first; that way, .Windows won't have any choice about the subject. :D
