i did a number of tests so it's not feasable to post screen shots of them all. these scores should be in line with others. feel free to post your scores!

Chaz is testing and writing a review for a 9262 right now.

I look forward to his tests with SLI in XP and Vista.

    Vista 64 bit:

10100 points, single gpu, everything stock
    12800 points, SLI, everything stock

    XP 32 bit:

10500 points, single gpu, everything stock
    14000 points, SLI, everything stock

I'm amazed that i gained so much in the SLI mode just by changing OS. I wish i had listened to all of you. Not going back to vista in a long time.. Why would i want to be able to utilize all of my 4GB RAM with an OS that eats up 1.5GB of that. Now on XP I'm using about 300MB and it uses 3GB RAM.. That is actually a slight gain :)

yeah same here about vista. i got 4gb of ram as well and the only vista that's worth it is the 64 bit version so i can use all 4 gigs. but my pro cad software is not compatible with 64 bit so it's a no-go. vista eats like a gig of ram just to run it so and the slower overal performance in it (it was reading my hard drives non-stop after every boot-up for some reason) it leaves me with 2 gigs to work with and 3 gigs overal. i went back to xp and it only eats up 300 or so megs of ram and have 3 gigs overal to work with so it's a no-brainer.

I can already tell you that Chaz won`t like the Vista results compared to the XP ones.

Thats what Chaz told me as well. :)

He will go XP if the results are lacking in Vista.

just a quick question regarding the Q6700 cpu as compared to a 2.5ghz based penryn one.. which one is better in terms of clock for clock i have a guy on another forum saying that i have wasted my money getting the np9262 when i shuld have gotten a dell xps1730 for the same amount of money
