I'm at work and there are a multitude of networks to connect to here.
WPA/WPE/open/A/B/G/N but this stupid Intel Wifi Link will not even see them...
Anyone run into this issue? I've never seen this before on any laptop.

I'm using the newest drivers from the Intel website.

are you running vista or xp? only the drivers or the full intel software? i know i had issues with the intel program in vista i removed it and just installed only the drivers and i use the vista network connections to connect with the card..not sure why but now i have no issues and the intel n card blow away my g based ones in my other notebooks even connecting to a g network.. works awesome now..

also what are the setting you are using for the card under device manager??

No problem with mine. I tried both XP and Vista, though it took me some minutes before I realized that it was off. XP and Vista do not have drivers so it is needed to install them.

-make sure the wireless networks at your work are not hidden and are broadcasting their ssid (or whatever it's called) because it is strange that your laptop does not even see them.

un-instal the drivers and intel software. then make sure the wifi card is turned on by pressing fn+f11 and instal the intel pro software again. after that immediately set windows to control the wifi instead of the intel pro software.

if these do not work you may have a faulty wireless card. as a last resort check device manager and make sure there are no exclamation marks on any device and that they are all working properly.

    good luck. keep us posted!

I think the card might be bad....
I messed with the settings, turned the power up, nothing...
The laptop is directly next to my home wifi and the signal strength is poor to nil.
I move to my room and I cant even see the network any more.

Computer reports the card is fine..
Ill contact XoticPC and see what they can do.

a card swap is fast and easy.... in the manual too I believe :)

If it needs replacement, XoticPC would probably get a new one cross-shipped to you.

yea it's easy. pop open the keyboard and take out the under-plate. the wireless card will be visible. check to make sure it's antenna is connected.
