    Just got a notice that it went back to Phase 1 and they expect more inventory on 8/11...........guess I will have to wait a little more for my beast. bummer!

    here is the cut and paste from the update from xotic

    We have just received an update on the Sager 9262

    We would like to apologize but the model you ordered currently has a slight delay on a shipment of systems arriving into Sager from Clevo. The ETA for this model to arrive back in to stock is 8/11/08. Your order will be sent to production at that time.

    Join the club... according to Donald (from powernotebooks.com), 9262 sales quadrupled this July, which I guess caught Sager off guard.

    I've noticed the amount of interest in the NP9262 has risen quite a bit around these boards. I expected a shortage to occur.

    Don't worry though, it will be worth the wait!

    And as an added bonus, if you bought the q9550, the price should drop. Seeing as how it will ship one day after the price drop, you should get some of your money back. I would also assume the q9450 price would drop because its being phased out, but thats only what I think might happen. The q9550 is sure to drop.

    With this kind of news, the sales quadrupling, theres NO WAY clevo is gonna dump this model anytime soon... which means more future upgradability for the newest stuff (with a new mobo needed of course lol) but even so, its cheaper than buying a whole new system of watever this things successor is.
