a little sluggish? i'm running on a 9262 and my keyboard only seems to register 2 keys max.. so if i press my keys too fast my keystroke doesn't get recorded.. bad for playing driving games or any other button-intensive games.. is this the problem of the keyboard (i think it should be cos the proc would be able to register keys if i spam them right?)

and, how do you guys go about solving this problem? i'm using extra buttons on my mouse now but i don't like the feeling.. usb keyboard the ONLY way??

    thanks. :)

Wow, that is a serious problem. I don't use the touchpad, but I never use a external keyboard.. At least I'll know what to do when my 9262 gets here..

The problem in the m15x with uninstalling the touchpad drivers is that it makes you unable to turn off the touchpad...the newest driver for the touchpad solves the problem in windows but not while playing games. I hope Shyster1 solution fixes the problem, will test tonight.

Yep, sorry if I didnt explain myself properly. but in the m15x the keyboard lag problem can be solved by uninstalling the touchpad drivers. It must be some conflict between those two, that is however the m15x and i dont know if it is applicable to the np9262.

The link to the other thread is just a possible fix.

No the 9262 keyboard isn't supposed to lag.

I type quite fast (60+ words/minute) and the keyboard feels just the same as that of my desktop.

What are the rest of your notebook specifications?
Check your background applications (ctrl-alt-del) maybe it happened that some heavy tasks were running (like antivirus scanning p'haps) while you were typing.

it isn't 'lagging' i must say.. just that it can't register the 3rd key onwards when i'm playing games.. (eg i press 'W', '3' and 'shift' at the same time, but it only registers two out of those three keys that i hit.. so its kinda irritating)

any way to solve it? or is it really a hardware defect? =x

This is the tip Shyster gave in that thread in registry script form (read double click and it's done). After going to the link and reading both of them, I wrote this script to double the buffer (as stated). Download, unzip and double click and you're done.

Also make sure that your keyboard controller firmware is up to date - check on the Sager website (or the Clevo website) to make sure that you've got the latest firmware.

I have no problems with mine, I type probably upwards of 120-150 wpm.

I have yet to have problems in any game as well, WASD shooters, MMORPG with Alt+key presses.

Nevertheless, i've never tested how many buttons i can hold down at the same time in a game or something like that.
