well, I decided to play with my webcam today... and found an issue.

So.. FN+F10... sound goes off. I click on start... programs... USB 2.0 PC camera... Video View...

    then BAM

The VideoView box is opened on the top left corner of the screen... but can't click on bc of that error box... so I hit okay...

then... I can see myself!! in the video view box! So the camera works.. nicely too if I may add... but guess what happens...

    again!

you click okay... it closes video view....

So I open it up again... same thing... Error... hit okay... *wave*... error.

this time I leave it alone... I then try pressing File Devices Options Capture or Help... then I get

    again!

so now there are 2 boxes up on my screen. When I hit okay on the 2nd one (the one that popped up after trying to click on one of the tabs) nothing happens... but of course... when I hit the first Error box... video view goes bye bye again.

    *sigh*

    any advice?

You can thank .Vista's UAC and driver signing for that.

disable UAC and driver signing to get past those annoying messages.

yes yes... I googled it after the post.

I did both... disabled UAC and did a method of disabling driver signing (through cmd prompt *bcdedit loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_ something like that..) and still no go >.<

go to the Sager driver downloads, and install those drivers now... since you disabled driver signing.

Hey, I seem to be having this EXACT same problem in Windows 7 RC x64. I followed the given steps, but it still does not work. Anyone have an idea?
