95% gamut screen and color blindness

As I understand it, a wide gamut screen is able to display a wider range of colors on the color spectrum and someone with color blindness has difficulty seeing/differentiating between certain colors on the spectrum (please correct me if I'm wrong on either statement).

I have red-green color blindness, would the 95% gamut screen would still be worth it for me?

I'm color-deficient with some colors, and I got the 95% gamut screen. It looks SO much better than my last laptop.

Haha. You're really asking us if its worth it? Honestly, what do you expect us to know about color blindness?

 

That surely depends how colour blind you actually are.

but according to: http://tigger.uic.edu/~hilbert/papers/colorblindness.pdf, depending on the Gamut screen, you should be able to see better?

Enjoy, I would advice one to get a Gamut screen, as you can probably adjust the screen options later towards your wishes

 

I too have the red/green deficiency (not sure how our severity compares), and I loved the 95% matte screen. While I cant really comment on colors specifically, but you can tell that's it's definitely a quality panel and sill worth it IMO.
