I do believe you've found the smoking gun, GanGstaOne. That's a very nice editing app you've got there, too.

For all the wailing and gnashing of teeth over the past two weeks regarding whether or not the D901C would support 9800M GTX in SLi and whether or not there'd have to be a motherboard revision, I'm a little surprised that the one piece of evidence discovered so far that points in the general direction of supportability without a motherboard change has been largely ignored.

Yay! Now we'll still have to wait till 22 Aug and get definitive hard-evidence/proof...right? :)

I guess it's one of those "in theory it should, based on the evidence" but nobody will corner themselves to confirm this, which in turn makes the entire thing dodgy again, wondering whether there is a reason for the silence of nvidia / clevo...

    oh the never-ending dilemma... :)

The continuing silence probably indicates that the drivers still have a ways to go before they can be used, and thus there are probably still other open issues regarding changes in other components of the software - e.g., other drivers or firmware - that cannot be resolved until the SLi drivers are sufficiently worked out.

What the BIOS point does demonstrate, however, is that the hardware itself is supported - that's the larger part of the battle in any event, so now it's a matter of "when," not a matter of "if."

Ok, so here's my almost-finalised plan.

Essentially I'm saying SOD IT, I'll go for the 9800gt sli and if it ever should turn out once the 9800gtx sli comes pops up and its substantially outpaces 9800gt then I'll upgrade. But so far all the resellers in the UK have told me that they have no specific plan to push for a card that costs that disproportionately improves in relation to cost. Then again from a business perspective everybody wants to maximise sales of existing models till the point a newer one comes out.

So to all you ppl out there waiting for some certainty...just do it, the only certainty you'll have is that getting a 9262 with 9800gt sli will be a damn awesome notebook which will probably stay damn awesome for quite a while...and if you're lucky you should get the option to make it even awesomer down the road.

Good luck to all the waiters, deciders, and uncertainters (terrible English I know...but trying to convey a message :D)
