yea man, i bought mine with the idea i would be getting the 8800s soon after, and maybe the next processor or sumtin. Little did i know, its not upgradeable at all unless you change the mobo. In fact I'm a little pissed with all companies who say its upgradeable in the sense of changing parts. its NOT upgradeable.

The D901c had a new mobo for the Q processors and for the 8800s... and maybe again for the 9800s... i forget, but thats certainly NOT upgradeable!

I have a year and a half to go before college ends at which point i'll be getting something new. I suppose i can wait it out till then anyway. Thanks for all your help. good luck with the video situation.

Yeap, if you have an 8800M MXM inside, you can put anything up to 280M MXM 2.1.

anyone out there with a v6.2 mobo and 9800GTX?? and WUXGA?
would you possibly be able to tell me the part number on your inverter?

    mine's 6-76-D800R-011 V1.0 (D800INT-A),
    i see at link below a V1.1 (D800INT-B)
