Collecting vBIOS files for Johan over at mvktech.net so that our cards can be supported by NiBiToR. This will allow hardware level overclocking and overvolting of the 9800M GTX.
Please submit your vBIOS ROM here.

I don't have a 9800M GTX so I can't help there, but you might consider a guide on dumping a BIOS file, I'm sure most don't know how to do this.
-
Good idea.
An incredible short and simple guide to dumping your vBIOS:
1. You will need to be able to boot to a USB drive.
http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=246530
2. You'll need to put nvFlash on it.
http://www.mvktech.net/component/op...func,fileinfo/filecatid,2578/parent,category/
3. Make sure your USB stick is formatted and has nvFlash on it, and that it remains plugged into your system. Reboot and set your BIOS to boot to USB before the HDD.
4. Once booted to the drive, type nvflash -b 98mGTX.rom
5. Zip up the ROM into a .zip and upload here

It will. I believe with any card from Geforce 6 and on. But you won't need to upload your GT file, as it is already supported.
-
Is the gt supported, when i try to load the GT bios it still says that it is unsupported. I have to change the device id make changes then change it back which made my OC unstable.
-
Hm I was under the understanding that it was supported in the latest revision. If not, you might want to start up a thread to collect vBIOS files to be submitted.
-
It didn't work with my GT either, changes I made would revert back to stock when I closed the app.

emike, firstly congratulations for your new machine!!Then, seems that frequencies of your 9800M GTX are 500 1375 799...maybe with new shaders nvidia had to increase shader frequencies or maybe is a little "boost" to make a better difference compared to the 8800M GTX..
The most important thing in my opinion is that the voltage riported is 1.03 wich seems to be the max possible..This could mean a reduced OC in future! -
Ya shaders are a bit higher. It is showing 1.03, which i sure hope is wrong! If so, my hope is that it works like the XPS 1730 sli cards worked, which let you take the 8800M GTX above 1.2v, which was quite impressive.
We'll have to see what happens when we get some native support. -
I don't have the XPS vbios anymore, so what max voltage (without editing voltage table) was showing it?? I don't remember..
However with this voltage I don't think is a 55 nm...what about temperature?? -
Temps are ok. Max at 70C. Nothing all that great. Likely 65nm with those temps. The core is a G92-750 though if that means anything. I'm still waiting to see why I paid almost $400 more for this card...
-
Ya, the author only included support for the 9500GS, not the 9800GT yet, so we are still waiting to.
-
I think GPUZ can also be used to dump the BIOS.
-
-
It is very easy to dump the bios with gpuz, just click on the chip with the green arrow coming out of it next to the vbios version number
-
Well Gosh thats easy...
