9800GTX is the best for gaming performance, most 3870's however are being replaced by the 4870's which are better than the 9800gtx

    D.) None of the above?

You should be looking into GTX 260M, GTX 280M, or 4850.

Ok then go with the 9800GTX it is great performance... what kind of laptop are you looking at? Because there are a few systems with the 4870's and GTX 280m's already

I think the OP was referring to the Quadro FX 3700M.

the Quadro 3700M is actually higher performing than the 9800M GTX.... and fully optimized for OpenGL 3D development. :)

the ATI HD 3870 is close performing to the 9800M GS/GTS

I would want an alienware for the design, but the sager 9262 is a very powerful laptop, but they haven't the 280m and now they have sold out the 9800gtx

the GTX 280M is the same specs as the Quadro 3700M...

    the 280M just has a 55nm die-shrink.

Yeah you'd have to wait another month for the M980NU, if you want the SLI 280M. That thing's going to be a serious beast.

yeah I would wait until SLI 280M or even SLI 260M's are available in the options.

If you want the D901C with 9800M GTX SLI, you can still get it through other large Clevo importer OEMs like www.pro-star.com
