Has anyone upgraded their video card to 9800m GTS on their Clevo M570RU? Where and how much did you pay for yours?

Eurocom is pricing their 9800M GTS module at $390.

I think you can contact your Sager vendor and they should give you the same or slightly better price.

they are pretty pricey over there at eurocom....

does this still mean they will sell you separate components though?

Eurocom is usually overpriced when compared to the US prices... sometimes it due to the CAD to USD difference.... other times its just ridiculous.

Its best to contact them to try and negotiate prices.

yeah, but from my understanding as of today...the dollar is looking very bad! *LOL* so if you convert from dollar to anyone else's money..you may come out paying twice the real price...lol

You forgot to mention 390 CDN, which equates to 315 USD or so right now. 315 actually seems somewhat reasonable, considering Xoticpc is offering the FX1600 (8700M GT core) for 550. If you look at the upgrade prices for the FX3700m and FX1600M,

and with Eurocom having it at

That's close to 10% discount on the FX 3700M and 5% or so on the FX1600.

    They do.

They also offer prices in CDN/USD/Euro/GBP, Eurocom rates tend to be behind, thus choosing the appropriate currency can save you a substantial amount. This of course depends on the foreign exchange value at the point of time, something which cannot be predicted.

That said, Eurocom does tend to be more pricey. They also do price matching (not guaranteed) and negotiate prices though, this alleviates it somewhat.
