So, has anyone else messed around with their voltages in nibitor? Ive bumped from stock 1.11 to 1.15,1.2,1.25. My temps didn't increase by that much. max usually around 70 for gpu. However, i wasn't able to increase any clocks. I set my card back to 1.11. 1.25 seems to much for the card anyways. I know gs cards gain from voltage increases. Not sure if voltage is just locked or mobo wont supply it.

anyone have any info?

Mind uploading your VBIOS? The max voltage available in mine, is 1.11.

this is bios for 1.3 volts:

Bios for 1.2 volts:

Original bios:

Also, when you want to change voltages, you have to go to tools----> voltage table editor. After you change the 1.11 to what ever you want you can then view the voltage tab and switch to the new voltage. I advise using nvflash to retrieve bios. Also, always keep your old bios on your usbboot disk in case you flash wrong. -

alittle weird the better the card the less voltage you have to play with. my 9800m gtx stock was 1.00v and the max i could set it was 1.05v and my 280m is 1.00v and the max i could set it is 1.03v.

Well i have no problem setting the voltages in nibitor. I'm just not sure why they are not letting me clock higher. I mean my max temp at 1.3v and 750/900/1875 playing l4d2 at max was 62C today. And max temp when i bench is usually around 60 for gpu and 55 for cpu. This is also without my zalman nc2000 because i stripped it apart trying to make it better

So basically i need to change what to change voltage?

It's just like what Kaltmond said, by doing so, you're only adding a label named 1.15 which VID is the same as the one assigned to the original 1.11 label. Unless a higher VID is available, I don't see the 9800m GTS going any further, but at this point of overclocking, I'm quite sure it's almost on par with a stock GTX 260m.

My 160m (which is essentially a 9800m gts) came with only two voltages in the table, .90 and 1.09.

Off topic, but wowww, 750/900/1875 on a 9800M GTS matches a GTX 260M? OP0's SM2.0/3.0 score in 3DMark06 is the same as mine. I wish my GPU clocked that high.

don't forget that we have more stream cpu's and some more stuff that makes us faster. my stock clocks for my
280m gtx is 583/1450/950 @1v
my old
9800m gtx is 500/1250/900 @1v
my max overclock with no voltage change on my
280m gtx is 670/1675/1080
my
9800m gtx is 650/1625/950
overvolted is for my
9800m gtx is 690/1715/970 @1.05v
my 280m gtx is yet to be found. @1.03v -
Well, almost a stock MXM 2.1 GTX 260m. On Vantage, that's approximately on the 4500 mark, averages a 45 FPS on Resident 5's variable benchmark @ 1680*1050 with all settings turned on, no aa, no vsync and 24 FPS on Crysis benchmark tool @ high.
After months of using the GTX 280m, I'd forgotten how good the 9800m GTS is at overclocking. -
So there is no way to change the voltage? I know that the 9800m gs can go to higher voltages. I thought that the gs was a down clocked GTS.
Also, my 3dmark06 score in my sig is done at 950 on memory and on XP 32bit. Its stable, but I don't like to keep my memory that high all the time. My 3dmark06 score is 11250 on WIN7 64bit. -
If you change the default voltage (extra) 1.11 V to 1.25V, does the card will use the extra 0.14V ??
-
There's no vid for it I don't think. Choices are .9 and 1.11. I had just been changing lables. Not sure how gs users have more vid's.

I didn't even know m860 ever came with a GT. At least i didn't have the option when i ordered mine.

Please dump your bios! I like to flash mij 8800m gtx with a 9800m gt/gts so i can overclock a bit more.
Or tel me the bios nr so i can search one.
I mod mij volts to 1.15v but there is no different with the max 1.05v i can set in extra.
Clocks are now: 650.950.1550 with vbios 62.92.34.00.08 -

A 9800m GT bios will work on a 8800m GTX.
The 9800m gts and 9800m gt (aka 8800m gtx) are based on different cores. -
Would flashing my gts to a gs bios work? For increasing voltage that is.

but. voltage's will help with gettin to higher clocks. I mean i dont wanna clock ram any higher. but gpu should be fine. I monitor temps all the time and barely reach 65c
. -
So there is no way to go higher with the volt on my 8800m gtx than 1.05 because ther is no bios for it that works with this card and got higher volt,s!?
I oc,t my card now to 650,950,1625 for a more stable clock and 2.5 ratio.
Card gets 77 degrees playing crysis for 1 houre. -
Playing COD World at War for about 30 minutes, bring my max gpu temp to 96c! I have my laptop elevated, its about a good 1-2 inch gap. When I saved the stock gpu bios to my flash drive, I took a look at it in NiBiTor and the voltages were already at 0.9v. I find it weird because I never really messed with the voltages.
Anyone know what are the stock voltages for a 9800m gts? (p7805u} -
most likely you need to reapply thermal paste to cpu and gpu. It shouldn't reach that high. Idle voltage is .9 and full load is 1.1 i think.
