That is really good sevice. Laptop at 89ºC, ask the customer to lift the laptop up.

Your laptop should never be close to the max temps like that under normal operation, and this includes playing games on a gaming laptop.

70ºC is what customers are reporting as I recall. Unless the enviroment temps are 40ºC your temps are not normal.

Furthermore, beeps due to high temps under normal operation (that includes not playing with it over the carpet, over the owven and the rug sack) is not good at all on a new system.

PS: Sorry just had to say it. By the way ARGH, didn't you had 2x8700M SLi?

well, laptops unfortunently don't follow that trance.

there are scores that go close or even exceed max temps.

    failienware for instance.

Faulty setups can happen with any brand. Is how you deal with them that matters.

Anyway, my system under stress does not go over 64ºC (GPU) and 55ºC (CPU). Even when room temps are around 27ºC as it was last week. With fan or automatic.

Yeah, I would never buy an AW. It was my confusion, since I believe we joined the forum more or less at the same time :)

Yeah, the d901c is a mean fast machine, watch out for those high temps as IMHO it is not normal even for a d901c (unless you are overclocking but that is not normal operation either for the d901c).

    $5000 ouch.
