It's a matter of money. The Gateway is unbeatable below $2000.... but above the $2000 budget, the Sager is the obvious unbeatable choice!
-
if u can afford the sager go 4 it better performance in every aspect!
-
Not to mention superior build quality, lesser weight and much better support, among many others, performance included !
-
I have (and sell!) both.
If you are looking for the fastest of the 2 (in 3D power) and the best screen then you have to choose the 5793.
If on the other hand you want the laptop to be quieter, accept 2 HD's and have HDMI and eSATA then the Gateway is an excellent machine. -
I heard some people got a dead p-6860 out of box. and lot of them started having problems about a month or so.
-
the gateway is the best value-based gaming machine out there. if you are not picky about certain build quality issues with it then it is hard to beat.

Thats true, my second fx I bought only turn on using the media keys and the power button wouldn't work. Then once to the boot screen it crashed. Thing is if your smart enough to just open the computer in the store, >.> there is no problem getting a replacement.

My advice: buy a notebook based not on what its does, but what you will do with it...

the cheaper P-series versions have Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100, not the 8800m gts.
@nirvana0001: can you give us a link to this awesome price?
Edit: Wow, I guess Best Buy really wanted to clear their stockrooms! -
-
I agree. Buy not what you WANT, but buy what you NEED!
