Alright, with my Malibal Lotus P150HM coming soon hopefully, I have a few questions about it.

    1. I only got a 120GB SSD which I thought this would be plenty, I just started looking at games and I realized almost all of them take up 10-15GB of space! So down the road how hard/can I remove the optical drive bay and add a another HD 7200 RPM or even another SSD? Do I need anything to do this?

    2. This question seems to be asked a lot but I keep getting mixed answers. Is it OK to keep your Laptop charging if it's at full battery while your playing a game? I mean your always plugged in when playing a game and you kind of have to because the battery isn't enough power for all the components so don't you have to be plugged in all the time? I don't wanna kill my battery

    3. I know you need to monitor your temperatures but do they come with the program installed or do I have to download it from here? CPUID - System & hardware benchmark, monitoring, reporting and which one?

I'm very confident in everything I ordered my only real concern is battery life and I know going into this I shouldn't hope for more then 3 hours at best. but I keep seeing people saying you can under volt your cards and many other things to get more battery life. Anyway thanks for your help!

Who knows I might not even need that much battery anyway as this is my first laptop ever.

Yes. You will need to buy a hard drive caddy for the optical bay. You can find it online for around 13 bucks. Amazon.com: 12.7mm Universal SATA TO SATA 2ND Hard Drive Caddy for HP 2230s 8730w NC6000 NC8000 NW8000 NX5000: BrainyDeal

I would probably remove it. The heat generated from the GPU and other components can/will degrade the battery performance over time. Most people remove the battery and only put it back in when they need to go portable.

That's good to know. Been wondering about that myself, and it's good to know an alternative to having to disconnect the power.

For users like myself, which stay in the same place for a long time, it'd be best to just unplug the battery.

I wonder, is there a dummy compartment that can go in place of where the battery is, to prevent dust etc getting inside the machine?

no i don't believe so. If you're going to be leaving out the battery for a prolonged period of time, you can probably just use tape to cover it up.

Ah okay, that is a shame.

Great idea, either that or cut some cardboard / plastic to size.

Yeah I'd use some painters tape. Easy on, easy off, no sticky residue.
