I just received my notebook (Sager 2090) and I was wondering what should I do first? I haven't turned it on yet, so I was wondering is there something I should do with the battery and all to optimize performance/ future performance?

Also, it's preinstalled with 64-bit Vista, but since I only have 2 gigs of RAM, should I install the 32-bit version because I hear it's more compatible with stuff. Or should I just keep the 64-bit?

Oh man, you must be so disciplined, lol
I could never do that, get a new toy and not check it out ;)

Anyway, feel free to turn it on, that's what it's made for. You don't have to wait until the battery is fully charged if that's what you mean, just leave it on power until it's fully charged with the laptop on or off the first time. If you don't wanna use the battery (yet) for some reason you can leave it out to if you want.

I think 2Gb should be more then enough for the next year or so, it depends on what program's you use of course. If i were you i would just try it out, it's the best way to find out if the 64 bit Vista version is compatible with all your applications. If not you can always install another version. Since it comes pre-installed on our machine you shouldn't have any driver problems if you're worried about that.
