After having my Clevo for 5 days now and it's a tad heavy for a single shoulder strap bag with a few books in it. Therefor I was in the market for a new backpack bag but after looking around for awhile and kind of stuck on which type of backpack to go for. I think I've narrowed it down to two, but if anyone has better options let me know. Need one that can hold my laptop of course, a 17 inch cooler master, a few books, and if need be a second laptop that is also 17 inches. Any suggestions other than these two and which would you get?

Thanks a ton for any advice.

Yea read that one but didn't like the way it looked. Didn't want to highjack his thread is all. Thought it would be bad etiquette :p. Perhaps it is actually bad etiquette to start a new thread instead of posting in his. Whoops.

    Slappa makes high quality stuff.

And uplon looking for the link, sadly their prices went back up. One of the colors on their Kampus bags (I think the black/silver one) used to be on sale for $51.99, but now they're all back up to $79.99, which imo is pretty expensive.

I just got the Swissgear Pegasus for mine today, and damn it's a nice backpack, loads of space for everything and it looks really good, only thing i should advise is that the laptop itself only JUST fits...

I would not recommend the SwissGear Ibex, it is not big enough to contain the P170EM properly. I tried it out and ended up returning it. While the laptop will technically fit, you have to zip it up really tight around the top corners (backpack sitting upright) leaving them vulnerable.

I'm still on the hunt for a backpack myself, but I just purchased a padded sleeve and will probably end up going the sleeve with normal backpack route.

Thanks for that info, I was actually just about to order it until you told me that. I'll have to take a look at the pegasus. Thanks again.

It's unfortunate, because I really like the backpack. It has a great pocket setup, looks good, and feels good. I actually had to think about it for awhile, but in the end it does not accomplish it's primary function: holding and properly protecting my laptop.

I bought a Swissgear Carbon about a year ago which is larger than the Pegasus but it has been discontinued so you will pay a premium if you want one.
