Or maybe im blind and but i havent find the anwser for those question

I want to buy a new laptop... a gaming laptop...

I saw those 2... look very good: Clevo M570RU and Clevo D901C

-i would like to know the Response time of those 2 LCD screen...

-which resolution is the best for gaming... i know i could go the highest one... but isnt better keeping the native resolution when your playing?

-Is Glassview really better than Matt?

-is it possible to remove the orange thing around the M570RU?

-do the motherboard of the D901C really support 800mhz ram?

-i wanna go single video card (yes im waiting for the 8800gtx) do the D901C will be unbalanced? (ill go single hard drive too)

-Should i take the 3years warranty or its a waste of money? (are they well build?)

-Is there a better Hard drive brand for laptop?

-Is there good driver for vista64 (video)? cause ill probably go for 4gig ram

Thx a lot for the time you take to anwser those question!

WSXGA+ (1680x1050) is going to have a slightly faster response as compared to the WUXGA.

this is debatable... but I have been happy with my WUXGA resolution playing all games at native... and not needing AA at all with such a high resolution. And if I do play at a non-native resolution (but still wide aspect) it still looks great... no pixelation.

subjective again. The glossy screens give the most vivid colors (blacks look black, etc..). Matte is non-reflective.

I am not sure... since its part of the chassis.... but there is a silver trim model (if you get it through certain vendors... not Sager though). Or you can get a custom paint job (like through XoticPC when ordering it) to cover up the trim if you want.

    yup. :)

thats fine, many of the owners here have gone that route to save money for future upgrades.

they are well-built... but the warranty is always a safety (in a sense)... only recommended if you get it through a good vendor. but if you take care of your notebook, then its not needed.

Hitachi and Seagate are the brands mostly used in these custom notebooks.

Recently the new Vista x64 drivers work great in the D901C (for OC'ing as well)... as compared to the other SLI notebooks.

If you are in Canada, check out Eurocom (Canada-based), they have competitive pricing in CAD.

But many found to get a slightly better deal (after taxes as well) to buy from XoticPC and get it shipped there.

you can not change the orange on the 5791. you would have to tape off the whole thing and paint the stripe it is not removable its actually part of the housing that has been painted.

pictures do not give it justice. It actually looks nice in person. It looks very mainstream with the brush black aluminum look with the orange/copper trim.

But I get the personal preference thing.

Bah... anyway ill go with the other model... maybe it wont make a big difference but... i prefer pay a little more for 800mhz ram...

i was thinking about this laptop... but i have to call 4-5 reseller for the best price available...

    Clevo D901C
Screen: the fastest possible (I have to call them to be sure)
Processor: doesnt matter (lowest i can get with 4mb cache on it)
Video card: single, waiting for the next model (8800gtx)
    Ram: 2x2gig 800ghz
HD: single, probably a 80gig or 100gig 7200rpm (space doesnt matter i have a files server at home anyway)

ill try to have this for 2500-2600$can with tax and shipping, you think its possible?
