    Hello Everyone,

One year ago I started looking for a replacement for my aging Emachines M6809. Anyone familiar with this very old piece of technology will recognize it as one of the first desk top replacements. With athlon 64 3200@ 2Ghz and 64MB ATI (X800?) Graphics. It has served me well for many years but starting with Neverwinter Nights 2 it just gave up on gaming.

So I started with the name brands, Sony, HP, Toshiba and so on. There line ups were so unimpressive to actually leave one wondering how they stay in business. From time to time I would look at Eurocom (I used to live down the street from there office) but I wasn't willing to swallow the 4000+ price tag for a decent config. (There prices have come down some in the last year)

When Alienware announced the M17X I thought WOW this is a worthy successor to my old Emachine. So I waited and waited and heard lie after lie. After a few months the M15X had received the highest reviews ever. But a different picture started to emerge online. Oh no Alienware built a Pinto, the professional reviewers just never kicked the gas tank. So no way was I holding out for better quality from the M17X.

Luckily searching through here for info on the M17X led me to the Sager NP9262. Now here is a true Desktop Replacement. Thank you Justin for being so honest in your posts, that counts for alot. And thanks to those who have reviewed this machine Aryantes and Chaz.
