Did you have to pre install any RAID drivers before installing Vista?

I notice any time I install the Intel Matrix Storage Drivers, the error that comes up is that the RAID driver is not properly installed and now I see Intel has up a download for a floppy based 64bit configuration to be installed with Windows during its setup.

Now if this will finally get my Turbo Memory and Esata working and my hard drive cooler I will gladly welcome it. However, I have a lot of stuff going on in my PC already (Just got the update from Adobe for Premiere Pro 4.1, and now I say goodbye FCP for good).

I would like to know with assurance something like this may work for me (as everything in the past has given me BSOD, but nothing a system restore couldn't fix).

Furthermore, if I create an image of my hard drive using Vista Ultimate tools at this present point, if when I am reinstalling windows, I can place the RAID drivers in the installation from Intel and then use the image to restore my Windows to its present point?

Thanks. Would be happy to finally have a fully functioning m860tu.

you shoudn't install any F6 driver / Intel matrix storage driver if you want to use turbo memory.

the turbo memory driver comes packed with its own version of intel matrix storage.

so if you have the standalone intel matrix storage driver installed, uninstall it, uninstall any turbo memory driver already installed as well, reboot, double check that all intel matrix storage driver and turbo memory is uninstalled.

then reinstall turbo memory driver only.

Tried what you said. Got the usual BSOD I normally get.

I'll attempt to install the RAID drivers with a clean copy of windows when I have finished any current jobs. I already have an image of my hard drive from today so I can just use that to restore from anyway.
