I've tried using many different screws but it made the condition even worse(the top looks like a spiral hole now). I also tried using a rubber band and even tried to rotate it using pliers but none of these worked. Just ordered a Dremel (+ electric screwdriver with screw extractor bits)from amazon but it will take at least 3 days to arrive. Is there any other simple hack to get that screw out?

Any suggestions on how not to end up that way? -

Use a file if you have one to achieve the same effect. Not much can be done otherwise.

Been there. Clevo use rly ****ty screws at GPU.
Basically use screwdriver which is in shape of - (big bigger than normally would be needed, but not bigger than screw) instead of +.
Than put it in screw and start making new shape with - screwdriver by moving it a bit to left and than right - repeat for 2-4 mins. After this u will unscrew it - but screw is broken and u wont be able to use it again.j3rwin likes this. -
Or use a Pozidrive driver instead of a philips, try a PZ0 bit/driver, always have better results with PZ bits than philips on laptops, regardless of brand.

Unfortunately, none of the above-mentioned methods worked. I followed step 4 of this guide ( https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/How+to+Remove+a+Stripped+Screw/13213 ) except I replaced the superglue with epoxy putty(JB weld original, to be specific) and it worked!! Highly recommend it before using the dremel.
