    Hey,

I really think that you guys should consider getting better pictures of the laptops on your site.

Ex, take a look at xotic/pnb pics, and compare them to this:
    http://www.eurocom.com/gallery/189/index.html

The second (EC) is more visually pleasing.

Many people think that the m57ru, from the pics @ Xotic and PNB is ugly, whereas in real life it really isnt. Sure, it isnt as eyecatchy as AW (Which I consider to be a good thing), or as sleek as an Apple MBP, but it isnt ugly, and the EC, nicely taken pics, do a much better job of getting that message across.

Or maybe im just full of it.

I like the back lid from EC, wondering if they are actually using it or what. and yes, the laptop in real life does looks 100 times better from xoticPC/PNB sites.

Wow, I never realized this thing was so beautiful. On XoticPC site it just looked like an ugly black block.

Instead of just carping on the resellers to go out and make better pictures, perhaps we could have a photo competition on the forum among all of the owners of Clevo systems, with forum members (and honored guests, of course :D ) voting for the photos by ranking them, and the top, say, 5 photos for each system being offered up as the best photographic renderings of the systems. In the case of systems that have custom paint-jobs, those would be placed into a separate category, and the top 5 or so picked to represent the best of what you can get with a customized paint job.

    Anyone second the motion?

Sounds to me like Soviet Russia wants to do the capitalists job.
Just because Xotic gives great discounts does not mean one of them can't take a course in photography, lol.

Perhaps you will see "higher quality" pictures when the new 5796 is released.

I agree. With the exception of sites like PCMW they mostly look like amateur designs that were forcefully done in a couple of hours, with just HTML text and images. It's about time the resellers came out with uber-professional visually appealing website pages with animated menus and the like. :) I'm not saying make it as posh as Alienware or any other site, but still to raise the standards a bit.... :D

I am not sure how you would classify a terrible website. For example: One person could think that a particular website's layout is very well done/professional looking, while another person thinks it's the worst designed website ever with a horrible layout.

Would you say that Google's home page needs to come into this decade?

Agree with both Vedya and bzk90. To the majority of resellers, I hope you take this as constructive feedback---your websites really could be improved through a combo of several changes ranging from more intuitive nagivation, less clumsy layouts, better choices of fonts, colors and graphics. Yeah, sure your websites work well enough to be embraced by many of the already rabid Clevo brand fans, but you are not helping our mutual cause--that being to convert others to what we already know--that being that Clevo's rule--not to mention having the best price/performance/quality bang.

This topic and the forthcoming (and existing :) ) comments just might be the very thing to tweak your attention to address your suboptimal sites.. after all, it is a Web 2.0+ world and new potential converts are born everyday.

Hopefully others will chime in with observations of what works and what stinks on other websites. There are many Clevo resellers on the web, some of the sites (or aspects of the sites) are well done while other sites stink. Visiting a few of the sites prior to pecking this diatribe, I found the ROCK home page to be intriguing with its' clever use of game oriented action graphics associated with selected systems. Ok, enough of this... starting to sound like I am at work.

This thread is going off course and I highly doubt anything good will come out of it.

Let the Clevo resellers make their own decisions about what should be done with their company.
