ive had to use system restore now on 3 different occasions after this was installed (again im pretty sure but not positive its this update since its related to the network card). How can i tell windows to NOT install this update permanently??
What happens is internet connection becomes local only and explorer will freeze when you try to access the controls via the icon in the tray. using start > network no adapters show up whatsoever.

Windows Update > View available updates > Right-click on your update > Hide update. For my part, I never installed it.

There is a newer fixed driver than the one used by Microsoft on Windows Update...
