I have two spare chargers for my trusty P670SG that use the standard power plug with a little hole down the middle, simple.
My new lappie to be (a P775) has a fancy schmansy 4 pin DIN female plug at the end of the AC adapter.
I don't feel like shelling out big $$$ for new adapters if I can mod my old ones. They're Dell 330W's but I will only use them for low power operations, surfing and stuff on the couch.

For that I need those 4 pin DIN female connectors, but for the life of me I cannot find them anywhere.

I know that for Dell to Clevo P670 there is a Bixpower X75 that converts the Dell to the Clevo plug, ideally I'd want another adapter like that...

    Does anybody have any ideas?

I would actually be curious to know if there's an adapter that goes the other way - from the P7XX large plug to the smaller P6XX.

I've looked everywhere and cannot find them. I would be happy to just find cables with the 4-pin Clevo socket on one end because I can find/buy male and female sockets for the other end. The 4-pin Clevo type are nowhere to be found. Mouser has some that are similar, but the male and female parts are reversed from what they need to be.

Yeah it's really weird that they'd use such a rare part. I think the only way to mod my old 330W PSU to fit is by buying one of those junction boxes to combine 2 PSU's and cut off the jack...

It's not that rare, most of the larger capacity bricks use the same connector.

Barrel type connectors are not really suitable up to the 300-330W range.

From my Google searches I find that many power bricks use the male version, not the female like Clevo.
Regardless, the separate plugs are not to be found so if you F your brick, you F yourself out of a lot of money for little reason since the brick itself is fine.

It's the ability to find the end connectors or replacement cables that is rare (actually non-existent). You can find them easily for the barrel connectors of any size, including the large type used on the Alienware version of the Delta 330W AC adapter. But the 4-pin Clevo style are nowhere to be found. I and @j95 have looked every place we can think of and they are not available for some weird reason. You can also find adapter dongles for the round barrel type, but not the Clevo 4-pin, which they also use on many lower capacity AC adapters.

As sad as that makes me, I am glad there are more people looking for it and equally unsuccessful, now I can give up and focus on other things.
