Hey guys, My power brick has been hissing/buzzing on load ever since I got it. Is this normal or did I just get a defective power brick?

I'd say that it's definitely not normal.
Stupid question: Have you tried plugging it into a different socket?
If it's still making noise then I'd probably contact your seller for a replacement.

Some of the power adapters from the NP8170 have a tiny fan built into it, so when it gets under full load that thing will make some noise. If it is something that bothers you, Sager has been replacing those in the past so you should be able to contact your reseller and have them look into a replacement for you.
