    Anyone else getting a ton of these ACPI errors in the W7 Event Viewer?

    They don't seem to cause any issues (although I did leave my notebook just sitting idle for a couple hours once at the lockscreen, came back and it was completely unresponsive). My BIOS and EC is up to date (BIOS version 1.01.07aNS1 and EC 1.00.05SA1). Did a Google search and came across a few other laptop users with the same issue, but no one seemed to have any idea what actually causes it. Doesn't seem to be a big deal, but intriguing nonetheless. I won't be completely reassured though unless other's with a similar setup get these errors as well.

    Yeah, I have 2 HDDs, both mechanical. No SSD. These ACPI errors haven't caused any freezing or other problems. My notebook has ever only frozen once, with the incident I described in the original post, but that could have been attributed to a number of different things.

    @little one

    I got your PM, and according to that thread you linked to removing the battery and running on just the AC clears the errors up. I'm currently trying that right now. It's been a good 15 mins or so and I haven't seen any ACPI errors, lol (I usually get them about once every ten mins or so). All power management functions such as sleep and screen dimming seem to work fine (haven't tried hibernating) so I don't think it's a hardware issue, probably not even really an issue at all worth getting concerned over, just strange. I'll post an update after a few hours of usage regarding if the error still pops up.

    EDIT: Still getting the error. Without the battery, I get something slightly different however:

    Pretty stumped on this, and it seems that no one else gets it. Ah well, I'll just ignore it for now.

    I get the same errors. Doesn't affect performance or productivity in any way. At least I don't notice anything.

    Ah, ok. So I'm not alone. Anyways, in one last desperate attempt to get to the bottom of this, I did a clean install of Windows. It's been about an hour and a half or so and I haven't seen any errors. So far I've installed all the drivers from the included disc and gotten through most of the window's updates. It appears that it may be some kind of software/driver conflict, but since it doesn't cause any real issues it's not really worth investing too much time into it. I'm just OCD sometimes when it comes to computers.

    @GreatAnon

    So when you got the ACPI error which drivers you use ? Sager driver or newest driver straight from each device manufacturer ?

    Well, after doing a fresh install I used the drivers directly off the Sager/Clevo disc that came with the laptop. Didn't notice any errors. Even after installing a ton of windows updates, including SP1, still didn't notice the error. So I went about my usual business reinstalling all my games and software. Went back to the event viewer for one last peek, and saw the ACPI error staring me back in the face, lol. It has to be software related, because I monitored the event viewer for hours after a clean install and the error never showed up. Now as to what particular piece of software is causing it is way beyond my motivation to try and figure out. :rolleyes: I've already spent hours worth of time backing up my data and reinstalling Windows, but at least now I can be reassured it's not hardware related.

    Well, yeah, if you want to put it bluntly. :D

    I let my curiosity and OCD get the best of me, and wasted a lot of time in the process. I think it's probably best if I stay out of the event viewer unless I start having a real issue.
