    ACPI errors from CC 3.0's fan settings + unrelated gfx issue

    Hey, all.

    I'm not sure what's going on, but I thought maybe I can ask here! I am thinking about ringing support (again), or maybe just switching to Obsidian's fan control instead. This PC, btw, is a customized P970ED.

    Here's what's happened: I updated all my drivers, and everything seems to work... except fan settings. Performance, quiet, entertainment, or power-saving all cause ACPI errors #13 and #15. One is a warning, one is an error.

    #15 gives: The embedded controller (EC) returned data when none was requested. The BIOS might be trying to access the EC without synchronizing with the operating system. This data will be ignored. No further action is necessary; however, you should check with your computer manufacturer for an upgraded BIOS.

    #13 gives: : The embedded controller (EC) did not respond within the specified timeout period. This may indicate that there is an error in the EC hardware or firmware or that the BIOS is accessing the EC incorrectly. You should check with your computer manufacturer for an upgraded BIOS. In some situations, this error may cause the computer to function incorrectly.

    Any ideas why? or what's up? I reset my bios to default settings, but that doesn't solve the issue. The EC fan does work, but only when it hits ~75c+ and then it keeps the temperatures at bay. Also, for the fan settings, it freezes quite often (this is when the ACPI errors are given), and GPU fails to report any temperature or fan speed (it may be off, since it's running off EC's default settings--I did a "hold power button for 30 sec reset" previously). Anyway, the laptop doesn't overheat or anything, and the fans do work, but Clevo's CC Fan Settings simply doesn't do anything anymore at this point (but I can set the fans manually).

    Second issue: I am using Nvidia's generic drivers, not ones from Clevo itself (for this model). It's quite common that it claims to run out of memory in various UE4 games and crashes. Eventually fans shoot up through the roof and the computer turns off (no idea why, but it's not temp-related). Prior to the complete shutdown of the PC, graphics slow down (presumably because basic microsoft graphics display drivers are being used instead). Must be driver related? Should I just use Clevo's Nvidia graphics drivers instead of the generic ones, or is there a setting or something to tweak to prevent this from happening? There are no errors when this happens (not in event viewer, at least).
