Here is an update to the new version.
Windows 8 Users: You will need to Disable Driver Signature Enforcement between installing the PX and Enduro fix Driver.
The TESTSIGNING boot configuration option is enabled or disabled through the BCDEdit command. To enable test-signing, use the following BCDEdit command:
Bcdedit.exe -set TESTSIGNING ON
To disable test-signing, use the following BCDEdit command:
Bcdedit.exe -set TESTSIGNING OFF
Note After you change the TESTSIGNING boot configuration option, restart the computer for the change to take effect.

Thanks LeekM. Running great on my 7970M
I noticed since going to 13.8 that my AMD fan never spins all the way down like it used to, even when on Windows desktop and the Intel GPU has taken over. Every driver prior to 13.8 I couldn't hear that fan at all, now I always hear it running. Doesn't hurt anything I guess but it's mildly irritating and I wonder if the 7970 truly goes into zero load. -
Must be resolved by modifying the registry.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E968-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}\0001] or [*****\0000]
"EnableUlps"=dword:00000001 ====>>>> dword:00000000
and reboot -
That's better. Thanks.

I performed the registry fix but now, sitting in windows, the 7970M fan will cycle up and down. It never gets as high before the fix so I do think it's better but honestly, the cycling is a little annoying. I just want the fan to shut down completely when not in use.

Manufacturer's modified firmware is required. (BIOS&EC) -
if only i could dirty install... *sigh
i'll be trying this later when i have more time, thanks. -
I always try these modified drivers but they never work for me. This one failed to install amd display driver

Just out of curiousity, does your fix affect WoW and SC2? Specially WoW still throttles for me although it's easy to change from DX9 to DX11 in the settings. Didn't make a difference.
-
WoW runs beautifully for me (60fps, everything maxed, 1080p, smooth) with this driver in DX11 but, then again, it's always ran well on my 7970M regardless of driver.

Anyway, SR4 runs nicely I can see! -

@LeeKM
can you tell me what that for "integrated graphics optimizations" are? If not, maybe you can tell me what your goal is by distributing placebo drivers. -

I have a quick question. I installed the original beta 2 drivers without any real modification (except one change to fix a dimmed screen issue) But, I am suffering from the same fan issue. Will the fix mentioned above work for mine or will I need these modified drivers?
