Windows 7(non-local accounts) or Windows 8/8.1 Users: You will need to Disable Driver Signature Enforcement between installing the Modified Driver.
Disable Secure Boot (In the motherboard's UEFI firmware settings, click/tap on the Security menu, select the Secure Boot option, and click/tap/press Enter to enable or disable it.)

Step 1. Open the Windows command promt as “Run as Administrator”.
Step 2. Run “bcdedit -set loadoptions DISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS” (without the “” ;).
Step 3. To finalize the process run “bcdedit -set TESTSIGNING ON” (without the “” ;).
Step 4. Reboot and you’re done.

To disable it do step 1 and run these commands on step 2 and 3:
Step 2. “bcdedit -set loadoptions ENABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS” (without the “” ;)
Step 3. “bcdedit -set TESTSIGNING OFF” (without the “” ;)
Then do step 4 and you’re done.

What was your 3DMark11 score? Curious if upgrading is worth it. Ive done so many driver reinstalls lately im just sick of it to be honest! lol. But of course if there is a reason to - I'll jump on board.

Can I ask how in the world you find these tweaks? Is this a hobby or an occupation your putting to use? Just curious because I really appreciate it!

Well, it is kind of a recent build. 13.11 beta 6 is out since only 2 or 3 days (currently running it). However, I must say, even running 1000/1400 with that driver, I cannot reach that score that Lee put on the screenshot. Feeling really tempted to try his driver once again!

If you can't reach 1000/1400 with any of the recent drivers - you must have having throttling issues. Run 3DMark11 and then watch your utilization graph. Could be power related, could be heat related. But there is no reason as to why, if your finishing the entire run, that a 1000/1400 clock should not get you a better score then 7000. You should easily be in the 74-7800 range if not a little higher.

Don't know what to say: neither power nor temperature cause throttling (it stays at about low 80's, high utilization and Since I'm using a 3610QM, it won't push the PSU to it's upper limits). Guess I'm missing something then. What are the usual stock scores for the 7970m ?

I dont know how you can say power issues wouldn't cause throttling.

When I overvolt my 7970m it will run all day long on the GPU only or CPU only tests. As soon as I hit max load on the CPU and the GPU the GPU throttles from what has to be not enough power being supplied to the laptop. Because at stock voltage it doesnt do it. And I know the 7970m isn't being bottlenecked by the 3630qm.

Unless I'm missing something nor someone can shed light on the subject because I'm trying to fix the problem on my laptop right now. I'm looking at replacing the PSU with a 240 watt or 330 watt unit.

Ah, I didn't mean to say power issues wouldn't cause throttling. They certainly would, but I'm running on stock voltage and with a 3610QM. Doubt that in my case throttling is the issue. Perhaps faulty driver installation that I will have to look at later on. Maybe in my case, the issue is an unstable overclock. I'll have to play around a bit.

Dont be overly surprised, especially if you are overclocking. Especially when you are overclocking memory, the power draw increase is quite a bit which is why you also see the temp spikes when overclocking memory versus the results from overclocking the core. My "stock" voltage where I do not get any throttling is 0.975. I found at vbios that allows me to run 1.05 but I get throttling at that voltage. Every chip is different and its power draw will be different. Im thinking this falls in line with my asic quality of 80.2% from gpu-z. Since my gpu was set to run at 0.975 from the factory and over volting it on my own leads to throttling. I'm thinking that my less then perfect/efficient chip is drawing a bit more power then normal even at 0,975 so as soon as I up this at all, I'm pushing the limits of my stock psu. Not to mention any degrading in performance from a year of gaming. And the 3 months of mining Litecoin that netted me quite the financial gain.

This is my best overclocked score with this new driver. 1.05 v - I am however still seeing some throttling with a high of 84% in the combined CPU/GPU physics test. Wish I could get that to 100% utilization, Im sure the score would really improve! Pretty stoked to break the 7700 mark. Once I figure out the throttling issue Ill really be interested to see scores at 1.075.

    How come i can´t install Enduro_Fix driver (i use i7 3720+7970m), but i can install APU_Fix driver? o_O
Hm, does it mean i got some kind of APU system and not enduro as i thought? it would explain why i never got any enduro issues :D

ps: 3DMark11 scores with this driver:
    stock ( 850@1200; 1.05v): P6986
    OC (1050@1500; 1.05v): P8282
    OC+OV (1115@1550; 1.10v) P8595 <= my new record :D

For comparison sake just noting with this driver I've hit a new high score of 8262 in 3DMark11.

Just wanted a record for when I try the newer drivers.\

    Also pulled out a 24245 in 3DMark06.... http://www.3dmark.com/3dm06/17429473
