Windows 8/8.1 Users: You will need to Disable Driver Signature Enforcement between installing the PowerXpress fix Driver.
+ Disable Secure Boot (In the motherboard's UEFI firmware settings, click/tap on the Security menu, select the Secure Boot option, and click/tap/press Enter to enable or disable it.)

The TESTSIGNING boot configuration option is enabled or disabled through the BCDEdit command. To enable test-signing, use the following BCDEdit command:

    Bcdedit.exe -set TESTSIGNING ON

To disable test-signing, use the following BCDEdit command:

    Bcdedit.exe -set TESTSIGNING OFF

Note After you change the TESTSIGNING boot configuration option, restart the computer for the change to take effect.

To use BCDEdit, you must be a member of the Administrators group on the system and run the command from an elevated command prompt. To open an elevated Command Prompt window, create a desktop shortcut to Cmd.exe, right-click the Cmd.exe shortcut, and select Run as administrator.

    @LeeKM
You showed me a pic in your last "enduro fix" topic, which explained what this "fix" exactly changes ( link). So can you tell me how this magic, to change a wiring from hardware by software, works?

    Hi Leek.

I have a Intel 4600HD with a AMD 8970M switchable graphics set up in a clevo P177SM. I would to ask:

    1) i have Windows 7, do i need to enable the testmode/bcedit thing or can i just install it?

    2) I have installed my laptop provider's drivers, then the 13.8 Beta 2 drivers on top of that, can i install this fix on top of these two? I have found that if i dont install my own laptop provider's GPR drivers, i lose functionality (maybe its do with PX Profiles? i'm not sure)

    Thanks

    Just install it.

    1. Install the latest Intel graphics driver
    2. Install this fix. (13.10b Enduro fix)

PX Profile = Switchable graphics configuration (High-performance and power-saving)

How can I install this driver? Unfortunately it is not yet working for me, just the official.

When I type as admin; Bcdedit.exe -set TESTSIGNING OFF

    keep getting the following massage;
An errror has occured setting the element data.
The value is protected by secure boot policy and cannot be modified or deleted.

Actually when i should type this, before uninstall the old driver or after uninstalling and reboot?

To use BCDEdit, you must be a member of the Administrators group on the system and run the command from an elevated command prompt. To open an elevated Command Prompt window, create a desktop shortcut to Cmd.exe, right-click the Cmd.exe shortcut, and select Run as administrator.

Must be deleted before the old driver.

This is not working for me. I did a clean install with driver cleaner. When I go to configure my AMD settings I get this error: "AMD Catalyst Control Center cannot be started. There are currently no settings that can be configured using AMD CCC."

    *Edit*

Traced over the steps again. I can confirm I am in test mode for Windows 8. The installer at the end says it completed ok, but when I reboot and try to launch CCC I get: "could not load file or assembly "MOM.implementation or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the specified file."

This happens with the official driver package as well. Guess I will have to try and roll back to a previous version.

    *Edit 2*

Can anyone help? This is happening with every version I try to roll back to now. As of now I am left with no AMD drivers that are usable whatsoever.

I'm starting to regret this 8970m.... I am getting the same performance I had with my gtx 765m i am not getting over 44% utilization in League of Legends... Which is upsetting. My 7970M on my alienware with enduro disabled ran it amazingly.

I used driver fusion and am having the same missing power profiles in catalyst problem. This is with Windows 7. I uninstalled old catalyst, reboot, ran driver fusion, reboot, and then installed your new driver, but am still having this problem. Any suggestions? I didn't mess with intel drivers at all.

How much FPS are you getting in League of Legends? I run the game on max settings with only shadows off. I have no issues with the fps. League of Legends has a setting that allows you to set your fps where you want it. I keep it at stable and it gives me around 80-90 all the time. I could turn it to 'benchmark' and it would go much higher, but I don't use that since 80-90 is more than enough for this game. Go to your graphics options and change it to benchmark if you want it to utilize your graphics card to its max.

I know this. I get about 125. But my problem is with my 7970m I would get 200+ with everything maxed including shadows. With my gtx 765m I also got more fps. I didn't buy a better card for it to perform slower...

On aram I drop below 60fps almost constantly. When again with my other computers this does not happen.

Yes on benchmark, vertical sync is off and shadows are also off... First laptop I've owned that I've had to turn shadows off on to run above 60 on aram... Also the most expensive. Pro-star is allowing me to send it back and get a 780m if I pay the difference. Or get the same card. I am just going to get the 780m and be done with it..

Sorry for noob question, but how do you get that purple info text on the top left corner that shows the gpu temp, utilization etc.?

Also, I get around 170 at spawn. You are getting 244 xD. It would seem your driver fix is legit =D

Yes i've seen this, but my question was that have you done something else configurations to your amd gpu to get those benchmark results? i'm asking because i don't know anyone one else who could get as high results as you. League of legends gives me 140-220fps, Final fantasy XIV benchmark 7300pts.. but gpu usage is jumping 30-70% (as far i can count on afterburner).

I have 2x8gb RAM so it's dual, if this is what you asked. I found new intel driver (9.18.10.3257) and installed it, but it didn't make any change. I have to go back to 31.12 enduro fix. It gave me ~60-70pts more in 3dmark11 and ran games much smoother (better fps), but it's still far from your fps.. This is weird :|

I'd appreciate it if you stopped posting those screenshots because clearly apart from you, very few people are getting these results. Your drivers ruined 3 windows installations of mine, and made no difference at all, and yes "The Fix was a Success!".

First time I had a windows installation that was a year old, with stock Intel HD4000 drivers that came from Sager, and 13.4 WHQL. It was working fine and I was only noticing underutilization rarely in SC2. It was throttling noticeably in WoW though, and since I wanted to play WoW again I thought I'd try your drivers.'

As soon as I installed them (yes driver fusion) I couldn't start ant 3D application. I upgraded Intel HD gfx to latest 3257 build, same story.

I figured I could use a fresh windows install after more than a year, and I spent literally 8 hours trying to get Aero to work and it doesn't. Moreso, WoW ran once and gave same underutilization. Now out of no where the system won't run any 3D applications.

Don't use this guy's "fix" unless you're the kind of guy who can wipe-clean and re-install the system with a nice ghosted system somewhere, because you'll just spend the entire day trouble-shooting. I don't blame him, he's trying his best and his English isn't very good, blame AMD.

I still CAN'T play WoW with GOOD fps with a FLAGSHIP card. LAST AMD product I ever buy.

I also don't see any additional benefits thgrough these "fixless" drivers.
