    Hey, I've just read some parts and I could not understand all, but I think it won't solve the underutilization issue with the 7970m. I am saying this because, as my understanding, part of the solution lays on hardware modification. So I think this is for the 8000m series.

    But i'm just guessing, would like to hear the opinions from people who really know what is in that schemes.

    Actually, this is for 7000M series & 8000M series (GCN). The problem is software; the proof is that 7970M and GTX 680M are interchangeable on Clevo/Sager machines, with graphics switching and all.

    But one thing's certain, AMD did not expect everyone being able to access this document:

    Try reading it. It's only a few pages long. There isn't much for AMD to write about, it's broken.

    There are firmware differences too on the cards and exactly how the cards handle the data, this is why cards need bios support and you cant put AMD cards into the MSI machines.
