I have a Sager NP8690 with i7 620m and Mobility Radeon 5870. When watching videos from Youtube and Hulu I have had an odd problem. My screen turns white for a second, then windows comes back with a message that says, "display driver AMD driver has stopped responding and has successfully recovered." There is no blue screen and the computer does not shut off or restart. I reinstalled Catalyst 10.7, which initially seemed to fix the problem. However, while I can now watch Hulu and Youtube without constant crashing, the problem still occurs occasionally. My main worry is that this crashing indicates a hardware problem. If anyone could tell me how to fix this and if it is indeed a hardware issue, I would appreciate it.

    MORE IMPORTANT INFO:
This never happens when I play intense 3D games like TF2 and CSS or GTA IV. I checked my GPU temperature after a crash and it was a safe 52 Degrees C. I recently reapplied the thermal paste on my CPU and GPU, this is the first time I have run the computer for a long period of time (around 4 hours). However, I previously left a Crysis benchmark running for an hour to test heat (after my reapplication of the thermal compound) and had no problems.

Flash problem. Right click on the video and disable hardware acceleration or install the newest version of Flash at Adobe - Adobe Flash Player.

I got the newest version of Flash, and this appears to have fixed it. I was under the impression that Google Chrome came with the latest version of flash, so I didn't think to do that at first. Also, I was concerned because I read somewhere that this type of crashing was the card resetting its self after an overheat. Anyway, the crashing seems to be fixed so thanks a lot for your help.
