    Hey everyone I've been looking at the sager NP8130/8150 and was wondering if the ATI cards will ever come back and the 6990's price? Will any of their cards be in between the price range of the 560 and the 485? thanks!

    Check out Mythlogic's site. They have the 6990 up for preorder and it's at a great price

    Well my budget is like $1500-$1700 at the most so do you think they will have any new cards for the NP8130 like a ATI 6970? I can wait 2-3 months maybe more.

    Take a look at mythlogic's Pollux 1611(Clevo p150HM).
    MYTHLOGIC :: Configure Your System
    You have the option for both the 6970m and the 6990m(pre-order) at the moment from them. Right now, the 6990m is only about 65 dollars more than the 6970 and still about 175 cheaper than the 485m, close to 400 difference to the 580m. ;)

    From what I have read, the 8130 will not support a card like the 6970m/6990/485/580m due to restraints. Correct me if I am wrong though.

    You are correct Tilt, but considering the OP's budget, a P150HM is most likely out of the question

    Why does it start at like $1,600? I've been looking at Xotic PC and there's start at like $1200 but don't have the ATI cards.

    The main reason is the fact that Malibal, XoticPC, and the others are Sager resellers. Mythlogic is a builder themselves.

    I see, with the upgrades i want from Mythlogic it's like $1900 and that a bit high for me. Will they have ATI cards for the NP8150 like the 6970/6990 at XoticPC ever?

    So are Malibal and XoticPC the same? Why does it say Malibal on them instead of sager and is everything else the same like hardware wise? Sorry for all the questions it's a bit confusing to me.

    Malibal and XoticPC are not the same, they get their systems from the same place. It says Malibal on them because they have it set up that way. You can also get them with no branding on them. Mythlogic gets their components from suppliers and builds the laptops/tests them themselves. That is why their prices are different

    Ok i think i understand. Also I think the 485 just dropped in price. Yesterday i swore it was like $285 now its only $145 for the upgrade so i might be able to fit it into my budget.

    You said you could get them without the branding on if from Malibal? How would you do this and would it just be blank?

    Hi, simply put in the request to have no branding in the comment box on checkout and we'll leave off the MALIBAL nameplate. :)

    Wow that was really helpful. I really wanna get the ATI 6970 but i heard there is problems with it? Is that why some other seller's don't sell it? The only concern i have is battery life. I'd be happy with 3-4 hrs but i don't know if it will get that much. Thanks again for the help!

    I don't think the 6970 has been removed for any serious problems, but is being made way for the 6990. If you call/get into contact with one of the manufacturing companies directly, you can inquire as to if they have any or are able to obtain a 6970. You might luck into one.

    For battery life, it varies depending on usage. From what I can tell, you could easily get 3.5-4.0 if you are not doing anything intensive, like gaming or other graphics heavy applications. Otherwise, under constant usage, you can probably expect somewhere in the 2-3 hour range.
