Right click on your desktop, and then click on Catalyst Control Center. When CCC opens, click on Graphics in the upper left corner, then select Information Center. This is what 10.5 looks like:
The 10.5 designation simply means that it is the reference driver and graphics utilities package released for or during May, 2010. The date referenced designation appears at several points in CCC, as indicated by the red circles. The driver itself is formally known as 8.732 (the blue circle) dated May 4, 2010. That is the driver name that will appear in Device Manager. The ATI at the end of the driver version indicates that it was published by ATI. You probably have an older driver set (8.6xx, which are ATI 9.12's), but the numbering system will be the same.
GPU-Z also provides some of that same information:

OK, I see. I'm at 8.712, sooo I will be needing an update, wish me luck! XD
EDIT; I download the Catalyst Software Suite from ati/amd website, then uninstall the old suite. Restart my computer then install the new drivers?
Sorry for being so needy, i just don't want to mess up! -

That's it. Just double click on the file -- 10-5_mobility_vista_win7_64_dd_ccc.exe. It should take you through the installation routine. Just select Express Install when the option appears. BE SURE the file you downloaded includes "mobility" in its name.

Will the program I need to uninstall simply appear as catalyst install manager, that is the only ATI application in my control panel?

The Revelator Notebook Prophet
Yes, but it will be a new Install Manager launched from the downloaded 10.5 driver package. Don't worry about the existing version. It will be replaced automatically.

Alright, here I go, wish me luck!
