    ok is this the right version for ATI drivers my laptop says 8.753.0.0 and I have the 5870. Now on ATIs website it says 10.7 am I missing something or do I have the old version drivers on my brand new Clevo870 that just got here yesterday??

    not sure but that could be a very old driver. not sure how the number works out but it could be 8.7

    That is the most recent driver and is part of the 10.7 Mobility driver set. All is well.

    well 10.7 is the month and year of the release. Ati release 1 driver a month. As you can see, 10 is the year 2010 and 7 the month of July.

    8.73 is the driver version.

    everything work fine for me, better score in bout 3dmark 2006 and vantage and all temps are lower

    I'll upgrading to ATI soon, I just would like to know if there are modified drivers like those from laptopvideo2go and if every ATI driver brings a (tiny) performance boost or if you would have to stick to a driver for months because the newer perform worse (like Nvidia)?

    ATI now releasing new drivers every months, some of them can have a problems (like temps or lower benchmarks score) but it's just because of improvement and compatibility with games and app...modifide one, yes they are
