Hi so I was thinking about buying a Clevo X7200 and configured one I woul like on the Ava direct website. However I was confused when I got o the custom color selector part; because there was no picture of what the laptop would look like I'n that color. So my question is, is the pair job full body or just the lid, and does Ava do a good paint job? Thanks for any help youvan give me.

Those look great but may unfortunately be more paint on the body than what AVA offers? The example from AVA looked like only a couple parts were painted and not their whole frame.

You could always ask them directly if they do a full body paint job or just the face plate.

Falcon has probably the best paint job available, but I understand it is somewhere from 700-1000$ minimum for the basic single color which is included into their (higher) price. You may elect for custom art jobs but for much more money.
AVA Direct is more basic and probably less layers of paint.

Wow... when configuring a 15" laptop, if you upgrade the video card from a 540m to a 460m its $630.00! Thats the price of another laptop! Its probably also because they change the chassis to an 8150, though they don't specify that.

When you do that change the spare battery (optional) is changed too, although that is just a recommendation.
But since they advertise that model as accepting the 485M from the start, juggling with the chassis based on individual components is not completely fair, especially if you want to upgrade in the future from the lower spec GPU.
