For the uses you list, yes, it is a good choice. Alternatives include the HP Compaq 8510p.

ive looked into that notebook also. similar clean lines of a business type notebook that i like. however, it seems that the 8600gt is a bit better than the radeon. unless im proven wrong. and also the glossy back of the sager is appealing.

Would the Intel Turbo memory actually help since you've got 2GB already?

looks like all excellent choices (except for the Intel Turbo Mem, you probably won't gain much from it with 2GB's of RAM already installed). you'll probably benefit a lot more from not buying it, and using that money for another 2GB stik of RAM!

just curious, how much are you paying in total for this setup? Want to know how much the prices have dropped since I purchased my NP2090.....

The Radeon HD 2600 GDDR3 in the 8510p is actually faster than the 8600m GT DDR2 in the Sager, but the Sager is still a great notebook and you won't regret it. Enjoy!

What state are you in? I am wondering why you would be paying taxes.

It was smart to drop down to the T7500 2.2GHz processor...for most applications you simply don't get enough out of the 2.4GHz to justify the cost of upgrading.
