Hi, i am going to buy the sager np9130. it costs 70 bucks to upgrade to the 3rd generation processor. is it worth it for me? i basically just want this computer for diablo 3, league of legends, microsoft office...and that's about it. dont need to do much else on it.

also, any advice/imput on the np9139 while i'm here? i'm also thinking of getting an Asus G55-- sorta tempting with their warranty and high scores in reliability /durability tests...

    thanks a ton!

It's really up to you, it might consume a little bit less power, gives you a faster/newer built in vid card (4000 as opposed to 3000), and has a slight performance edge. My personal preference even with your requirements would be to get the 3rd gen.

If the processor that you are upgrading from ends in an M, and the one you are upgrading to ends in a QM, then you are also going from a dual-core to a quad-core (and since it's an i7 you get 8 threads).

If you just do those tasks, even if you do other demanding tasks, the 2nd gen is way more than enough to do your tasks

Go with the 3rd gen imo.
$70 isn't much to increase longevity/keep its value a little better.
