    Absolutely can not get any drivers installed for 7970M and Win8.1, P150EM

    Everything works fine, well as good as Enduro is able, on Win7-64. Just to be sure I stuck my Win7 drive back in the laptop and it fired up and worked perfectly.

    However, I just installed Win8.1 on another hard drive and no matter what I do I can't get an AMD driver to install without the laptop locking up and rebooting over and over until it gets repaired and reverts back to the generic driver. The install process just locks up before completion.

    I've tried Leek's drivers, disabling driver signing, tried installing the driver directly from the device manager... pretty much any trick I know.

    I've tried several different Intel drivers, even no intel driver, and nothing is allowing me to get an AMD driver installed.

    Is there a trick to this?

    could it be that hard drive has bad sectors and is ready for the rubbish bin.

    ive had 2 bad sectors on a drive and its caused no end of problems.
