Seriously this thing is raising my blood pressure

Here's the problem I'm having: When visiting web pages with a dark background, it seems the color profile of the display changes to dim the display as a whole. However it results in things looking washed out, and quite frankly gives me a headache. Does the same thing during movies and gaming.

I have verified adaptive brightness is turned off in advanced power settings, however I don't believe this to be the problem as there is no brightness sensor and the issue is in regard to changing what displays on the screen. Not ambient light.

In windows power mode. Your current power setting -> advanced settings -> Intel Graphics settings -> Maximum performance.
    Probably will help.
