    K,

My lappy is 5793 and when I fire up the Matrix Storage Manager it shows that I have two unused hard drive ports(see image attached). Would that mean I can still get two more internal 2.5 SATA hard drives to my comp?

Thanks for your help guys and gals.

    No, it`s not possible.
Unless you modify the optical bay, something that Kaltmond has done, although I don`t know how recommended is that.
And there is no RAID controller so there is no real benefit of having 2 drives.

no, thats not possible im afraid. I have seen one NBR user custom mod their chassis though to fit in another HD with smartbay style. Kaltmond I think it is?

Hmm, I have had it there right from the start, it was preinstalled by XoticPC. I haven't checked out my drivers CD.

Guys... any advice on this ? I have formatted and reinstalled windows and everything on the driver CD (less Intel Robson driver, since I don't have Turbo Memory)... but I don't have that what Kateeus has... wonder what else I'm missing....

@Prasad , http://downloadcenter.intel.com/default.aspx?iid=subhdr+downloads Other things, the usual DX updates :)
@Kateeus , I have been trough the same questions, and Xotic Pc`s Justin and PowerNotebooks`s Donald told me that although physically you could get another harddrive inside , you wouldn`t have a real benefit, without the RAID controller.

Errr, the driver is on the cd .
But anyway, unless you use a remote controller or IR file transfer(snail slow) you don`t need it.
I even uninstalled my Camera, but I might reinstall it later , since I will need all summer.
I wanted a second drive myself, but even if the M57xRU featured a smart bay, it still would not have RAID, because smartbay drives, optical or hard, are removable and the array would be broken.

I'd rather like an option to install a second battery.

Wouldn`t we all? Maybe the upcoming M570TU will have a smart bay, but I doubt it 99% ...
