I have a nonworking Clevo D900T. Almost certain it is a motherboard issue from what I have read. When under warrenty, MB and video card were replaced. Now out of warrenty and it is dead again. My question concerning replacement of motherboard, of all the versions which one is more stable? I have Version 6.2.

Welcome to the NBR forums. :)

You have the later version, which should be stable.

    What happened?

.... I am guessing overheating damage, which happened to a number of people with that notebook since they NEVER cleaned out their vents... causing the heat to create more permanent damage as the days go by.

You are supposed to monitor the temps (CPU, GPU, etc) when having such a powerful system... which would help warn you about dust clogs when it hits a particular temp.

I recieved the nonworking Clevo as a payment for work done. Heard of Alienware but had know idea the power involved. What I am asking is that I have priced MB replacement Ver.6.2 going for $400, Ver 6.1 for $330 and Ver 5.3 for $210. These are all new. I will be using AutoCad on this machine only, no games. Is there much of difference? And thanks for responding so quickly. Any help will be appricated and I am just understanding all the heat issues with this machine.

    Get at least revision 6.1

Even if you use if for AutoCAD, remember that you should monitor the temps and routinely clean out the system once a month with compressed air.
