So, I have an NP5790 (was pre-ordered) which has been, to date, fantastic.

It's been about about 8 months now, though, and I'm starting to get the upgrade bug again. My eyes have set upon the video card, which I had hoped would be upgradeable when I bought this machine and, with the 8800M, indeed is :)

As I understand it, I can send in my laptop (sager branded) and get the S3 motherboard modification and new video card for $US745.00. That's quite a bit of money, though.

    A few things to consider:
-How easy would it be to sell the 7950 GTX GO card I currently have in this machine after the upgrade? I see one or two on Ebay (both from Dells), but that doesn't mean they are selling well. How much could I get for it if they do sell well? It would be a lot easier to sell $745 to my wife if I can get back 2-300 for the 7950. A corollary to this, could someone with a Dell buy my Clevo version, or are the MXMIV different between the two?
-What chance of price drop for the 8800 in the next few months? If it's going to be 600+ in 4 months still I might as well get it now and enjoy it for longer heh.

    Any suggestions are appreciated.

I do believe they are binging the 9xxxxxxxx,xxxxxx,xxxxxx series out soon. I am uncertain about their performances compared other than for the price, they are close. You may want to wait and see if they are compatible, cheaper, or drive down the 8800 price. GL
